Our annual 5KforJK walk, held every September near Columbus, OH, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Parkinson’s awareness and research – and we’re just getting started.
After donating $200k in just 3 years and promoting the MJFF for Parkinson’s research on our podcast and across social media, we were honored to receive the Michael J Fox Foundation’s Hero of Research Award in 2022.
Our Parkinson’s Kit was created for people diagnosed with PD and was designed with input from dozens of Parkinson’s patients on the items, info, and encouragement they wished they’d received when they were diagnosed and what they’ve learned since. The most important “item” in these kits for new Parkinson’s patients is the knowledge that they’re not isolated and alone – they’re now part of a larger PD community.
pDNextSteps started in 2015 with a goal to help provide fitness options for people who are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Exercise has been one of the only things proven to slow the progression of Parkinson’s, and that is what we focus on.
Our pDNextSteps gym, in Dublin, OH, offers a safe environment for people who are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
A podcast created by Parkinson’s patients, sharing their stories and interviewing others, on things we deal with on a daily basis.
Hosted by our founder, Jessica Krauser and Brian Baker, two Young-onset Parkinson’s patients.
